Deconstructing 2000 Years of Doctrine

In the beginning the earth was without Good Faith Bad Faith... Now its here!

What is Good Faith Bad Faith?

2017 in a dusty tumbleweed town far far away... What start in a Denny's, but Denny's stopped serving waffles and changed their whole menu forcing it to be moved to a different local cafe, Steve and Doug began meeting for breakfast every two weeks. During their meets they would share about personal and spiritual things they both dealt with most of their Christian lives. They discussed their common struggles with the conflicts and contradictions of their faith and its doctrines. In 2021, during one of their breakfast discussions, Doug commented to Steve that he believed most conflict and doctrine within the Christian church and community extended from interpretations of Paul's writings and not from Jesus or the Gospels. He also stated that he believed the Old Testament shows the nature of man which is his need for knowledge and his continuous turning from God to man for this knowledge. Therefore our need for Jesus the Word in flesh, a man for us to turn to. Yet he believed we mistakenly turned to men again for knowledge and declared their writings as the Word of God. Thus resulting in a very distorted understanding of Jesus, and a religion, and the Christianity religion, which is full of doctrines and lines based on him. Needless to say this did not sit well with Steve. Thus beginning the ongoing debate between them and the spawning of...

Good Faith Bad Faith

Why "Good Faith Bad Faith?"

After watching "The Other Guys" together, Steve and Doug would joke during their morning discussions that they were becoming the "good cop, bad cop" and even the "bad cop, badder cop" of Christian doctrine and even christian mentality in general. Then, one morning it came to Steve, "Good Faith, Bad Faith." Needless to say, Doug loved it. Doug proceeded to designed their logo. It not only represents the show, but the core premise of the show: that faith in scripture prior to and including the "I am" or Word becoming flesh, Jesus, is "Good," while faith in scripture following Jesus is questionably "Bad."

Either way... its faith!
